Irish Imbas Books explore ancient Irish cultural knowledge and concepts, and transfer them into a form that’s more accessible and relevant for contemporary times. We designed a site driven by images and colours of the Irish landscape.
WCLC had three different WordPress sites that they were maintaining – one with the information about their services, and two separate blog sites. They wanted to simplify this, and make it possible to highlight blog content that was relevant to the services they offered, as well as make it easier for clients to find the services they were looking for.
We imported all of their content into a single site, which made extensive use of custom post types and custom fields to make it easy to see the links between staff members, services, and blog content. We used a modified timetable plugin to display their drop-in legal sessions in a way that was clear to visitors as well as being easy for WCLC staff to maintain.
E tū had a site that was built on a custom CMS that was hard to edit, and gave them very little control over how their content was organized and displayed. We created a WordPress site for them with a fresh design that better reflected their brand and their content.
The site includes separate areas for news items, resources, and events, as well as an online version of their magazine.
Exhibitions Gallery wanted a site that felt very clean and easy to look at – a site that showcased the art, like a gallery space. We made the design monochromatic, subtle, and harmonious.
Their old site was insecure and hard for them to maintain, and didn’t work well on smaller screens. We migrated them to WordPress, and set up better systems for showcasing their current and upcoming exhibitions, as well as their best-selling artists and works.
The NZCTU’s old site was built on Drupal 6, which was reaching the end of its supported lifespan. They wanted a modern and user-friendly update of the design of their site, that still retained their brand.
We simplified the site, and designed it to make it extremely easy to use. We migrated them from Drupal to WordPress, and completely redesigned and rebuilt their Find Your Union tool so that it returned more useful results.
“It was extremely easy to develop a working relationship with Eleanor and Ed, they gave extremely constructive advice, worked through all our questions and delivered a high quality result on time and in budget.” – Sam Huggard, NZCTU Secretary.
